Gérard Bertrand, an iconic winemaker from the region of Languedoc, inherited from his father Georges a deep love of vines and wine. A former rugby player turned winemaker, Gérard Bertrand combines tradition and innovation to create wines that embody the soul of our terroir.

Gérard Bertrand rosé wines draw their essence from the diversity of these Languedoc terroirs. From clay-limestone soils to vines caressed by the Mediterranean sun, every bottle tells a unique story, enhanced by the influence of climate and soil.

Our environmentally friendly “Act For the Planet” rosé wines

Highly committed to the environment, we offer several ranges of organic and biodynamic wines that respect the planet.

Gold & Azure Rosé bearing the “Bee Friendly”. It highlights producers whose positive environmental farming practices respect and integrate bees and pollinators into their crops.

Prima Nature Grenache and Syrah rosé, a range of organic wines no added sulphites whose composition is pared back to the essentials. It expresses the character and flavour of the fruit and the terroir.

Autrement Grenache rosé, Syrah rosé and Languedoc rosé: before anything else, Autrement must be a premium wine that meets the same exacting quality standards as all wines bearing the Gérard Bertrand name. In this range, the commitment to the environment is reflected in the AB certification by Ecocert, a leading consumer label in France, as well as environmentally friendly packaging (recycled paper label, unbleached cardboard, natural Procork cork).

Naturae Grenache rosé and Syrah rosé: a range vegan for consumers concerned about animal welfare.

Solar6 Grenache rosé, a wine certified “AB” and “Bee Friendly”, pays tribute to the sun-drenched terroirs of southern France where these wines are made.

Organic rosé wine isn’t just a relaxing wine to enjoy in the summer sunshine. At Gérard Bertrand, we also offer rosé wines of exceptional quality, certified biodynamic: Clos du Temple, an exceptional rosé born of a distinctive terroir where schist lies over limestone, giving it both power and minerality. And Ballerina 2013, a brut rosé made from a blend of the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from high-altitude terroirs, revealing freshness and tension.
