The Bertrand family
One group, four values
The practice of biodynamics is a strategic priority of the Gérard Bertrand Group: all the Estates are cultivated according to the principles of biodynamic farming.
Gérard Bertrand's commitment as a winemaker
Excellence
A shared excellence with a quality team, dedicated to this quest and to the achievement of high objectives.
Producing great wines requires patience, maturity, a great deal of rigour but also the sharing of a common vision with one's team. A good measure of intuition is also needed to reveal the soul of the terroir. Mastering the different stages, from harvest to bottling via vinification and ageing: not being afraid of the "thousand and one details" that lead to Excellence.
Innovation
Being a trendsetter
A key watchword for the Gérard Bertrand group, which sets trends through singular, indulgent wines and bottles with refined design. Production encompasses quality wines, organic wines and/or wines without sulphites, or indeed wines from biodynamic farming, for all types of consumers as illustrated by the ranges Autrement, Naturae, Prima Nature. Innovation also comes through bottles with innovative, highly beautiful designs, such as that of the Côte des Roses range or Art de Vivre with its ceramic bottles ideal for decoration.
Being a trendsetter is part of the DNA of the Gérard Bertrand brand, in order to offer wines and brands capable of meeting the different expectations of consumers around the world.

Naturalness
A strong commitment to biodiversity
"Preserving the environment sustainably, restoring harmony and balance to ecosystems, valuing the precision of winegrowers' gestures, reaching out to future generations — these are the challenges of today and the obligations of tomorrow," Gérard Bertrand likes to say.
The group continues its commitment to a sustainable development policy, taking an important step by carrying out a carbon footprint assessment. This proactive policy responds to growing consumer expectations as well as the global necessity of reducing the harmful effects of greenhouse gases on the climate. Furthermore, Gérard Bertrand is participating, alongside photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand, founder of the Good Planet Foundation, in the agroforestry project "Objectif 10 000 arbres" in Languedoc-Roussillon.
Conviviality
Revealing the Art de Vivre and the heritage of the region also comes through emotion.
The emotion of a glass shared among friends, of communion to the rhythm of music, or of discovering local produce. Le Château l'Hospitalet Wine Resort Beach & Spa, the group's headquarters and an exceptional venue, is entirely dedicated to the Mediterranean Art de Vivre: a setting for celebrations, dinners and convivial gatherings for wine lovers.
A true symbol, the Jazz Festival has welcomed the greatest French and international artists for over 20 years, lighting up the starry nights of l'Hospitalet and contributing to the growth of local culture and tourism.

Jazz is to music what terroir is to wine
During 5 days of celebration, the estate's courtyard offers a unique and intimate setting for concerts welcoming nearly 1,500 spectators per evening.
Every Friday, throughout the year, Jazz groups take to the stage for dinner concerts with wine and food pairings & Jazz. Since its creation, the artists have been selected by Gérard Bertrand in collaboration with Dominique Rieux (Big Band Brass).
In September, the Harvest weekend and the Pruning and Truffle Festival in December are two unmissable events for sharing moments of great conviviality around wine.
Conviviality also means the exceptional experience of a 5-star Wine Resort Hotel, a rotisserie, a beach establishment and a gastronomic restaurant at the heart of an active wine estate... a discovery journey through the wonders of the region.
