Wine description

Before being an organic wine, Autrement must first be a premium wine that meets the high quality standards common to all wines signed by Gérard Bertrand. The consistency of quality is ensured by blending grapes from different terroirs. Gérard Bertrand's commitment to the environment is reflected in this range through AB certification by Ecocert, the benchmark label for consumers in France (85% brand awareness in France), as well as environmentally friendly packaging (recycled paper label, raw cardboard, natural Procork stopper). This range is part of a sustainable development policy focused on preserving viticultural landscapes and developing farming practices that respect the environment and biodiversity. Best enjoyed at 16°C with grilled red meats, black pudding with apples, or soft-rind cheeses.

Winemaking and ageing

After a manual harvest, all the grapes are destemmed before being placed in vats. A traditional maceration of 10 to 15 days is carried out, with temperature control to preserve the aromas. The frequency of pump-overs is adjusted to allow the extraction of polyphenols and fruity aromas. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in vats for a few months, then bottled.

Tasting note

The colour is a deep red with subtle violet hints. On the nose, fruity notes of blackcurrant and wild strawberries combine with a complex aromatic range of mushroom, undergrowth and gentle spices. The attack on the palate is smooth and aromatic, in harmony with the notes revealed on the nose. Round on the palate, its smooth and elegant structure, with tannins that are present but well-coated, reflects a perfectly mastered winemaking process, and finishes with a very indulgent chocolatey finish.

What are the delivery times and costs?

Although all orders are dispatched within 24 hours, this may take up to 48 hours in some cases.
We offer the following delivery options:

Collection point delivery takes between 2 and 5 working days from the time of dispatch
Standard delivery takes between 2 and 3 working days from the time of dispatch.
Express delivery takes between 24 and 48 hours from the time of dispatch.
Pallet delivery takes between 4 and 5 working days from the time of dispatch.

Delivery costs depend on the delivery address, the number of bottles and the delivery option (mondial relay, express, standard, 24h, pallet...) and the price is calculated at the time of checkout.
Standard delivery is free in France from €125 and in other countries from €300 worth of orders.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, as well as payments via PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Transactions are fully secure.

We also accept payment by cheque and bank transfer; however, the order will only be prepared upon confirmation of receipt of payment by our accounts department.
