Description du vin
Located upstream of the Pitrous valley, at the foot of the famous Cabrières schist outcrops, the plot known as Plantabelle enjoys an exceptional pedo-climatic situation. Situated on the heights of the village at an altitude of 150 m, this plot benefits from optimal sunshine and constant natural ventilation. Set within a forest environment where holm oak grows alongside downy oak — a sign of a temperate Mediterranean climate — this plot is planted with old Grenache noir (70%) and Syrah (30%) vines.
The soils, made up of colluvial schists, are well-draining and allow deep rooting while moderating the vigour of the vines.
Old vines, grape varieties adapted to the terroir, soils that regulate rainfall variations, low yields, biodynamic viticulture, perfect health conditions and phenolic maturity as the trigger for manual harvesting are the essential elements that contribute to the typicity of this cuvée.

This wine pairs well with a wild boar terrine,
stuffed squab, a Royale-style hare
or a truffle Brie.
Vinification et élevage
Hand-harvested and transferred to the winery in small crates, the grapes are vatted after destemming. Grapes of fine ripeness release their potential in colour, aromatic and phenolic components through maceration of variable duration depending on the vintage (7 to 10 days). At the end of winter, the wines are aged in barrels for 12 months. Release takes place after one year of bottle ageing.
Note de dégustation
Dark and purple-hued in its youth,
it clears and takes on a tawny colour as it ages.
An olfactory expression dominated by ripe
fruits, notes of Garrigue and menthol.
On the palate, density and elegance characterise
this cuvée.
The finish features silky tannins with a beautiful
persistence and aromatic complexity, where
notes of dark fruits, liquorice and
roasting intertwine.
