Wine description
Naturae is a range of organic wines with no added sulphites, offering particularly pure, generous and indulgent aromas. Each cuvée, whose composition is reduced to the essentials, expresses the character and flavour of the fruit and the terroir. This wine was born from the expertise of Gérard Bertrand and his oenologists, who possess unique know-how in winemaking without sulphites. The wines are grown according to organic standards, which demands grapes of the highest quality. Naturae is also a vegan range for consumers who care about animal welfare. Intense and fruity, Naturae will offer you a unique experience of the grape variety in
harmony with the environment. The work begins in the vineyard with a precise and meticulous selection of the plots best suited to producing this type of wine. 90% of the result stems from this precision work: the health of the grapes must be perfect, the foliage must be healthy, fresh and dense, and the grapes must have an optimal level of ripeness. Indeed, the harvesting window is very narrow, as the acid/sugar balance and the tannin ripeness are paramount in this category of wines. The red winemaking process is very traditional, except that we use neither SO2 nor any other oenological input. The grapes are destemmed and then the maceration phase lasts approximately 10 days, during which we work on extraction only through daily pump-overs, which favour the expression of the fruit. Pressing takes place with care to separate the press wines, then the wines are racked to eliminate the coarsest lees before malolactic fermentation. The wines are then racked again and chilled to ensure their good stability in tank.
