Wine description

This cuvée comes exclusively from terroirs situated in the oceanic climates of Limoux. Code Rouge is an ode to excellence and a tribute to the Premier Brut du Monde crafted by the Monks of the Abbey of Saint Hilaire near Limoux. A blanc de blancs made from Chardonnay, Chenin and Mauzac, it offers an exceptional expression of the high-altitude terroir where it was born, full of finesse and elegance. This Crémant carries all the hallmarks of Gérard Bertrand wines: the emblematic red colour of its bottle and the Alpha and Omega symbols, evoking the endlessly renewed cycle of nature that inspired its designation as Brut Éternel.

To discover as an aperitif, with sushi, or with creamy fish dishes, fresh goat's cheese and fresh fruit salads flavoured with basil.

Winemaking and ageing

The harvest is manual and the grapes are transported in harvest crates. Direct pressing is carried out using a pneumatic press, which allows the press juices to be eliminated through extractions of 30 to 40% without re-pressing. A very careful settling of the juices is carried out, followed by alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 18°C. Malolactic fermentation may be carried out depending on the vintage. A very precise blending of the various terroirs and grape varieties is performed, with bottling taking place in early January to encourage the development of bubbles. The wine is aged on laths for a minimum of 12 months.

Tasting note

The colour is very pale, almost crystalline with fine bubbles. The nose is floral and presents notes of pear, citrus and fresh fruits. The palate is fresh and mineral. Code Rouge is a fine, elegant and refined blanc de blancs.

What are the delivery times and costs?

Although all orders are dispatched within 24 hours, this may take up to 48 hours in some cases.
We offer the following delivery options:

Collection point delivery takes between 2 and 5 working days from the time of dispatch
Standard delivery takes between 2 and 3 working days from the time of dispatch.
Express delivery takes between 24 and 48 hours from the time of dispatch.
Pallet delivery takes between 4 and 5 working days from the time of dispatch.

Delivery costs depend on the delivery address, the number of bottles and the delivery option (mondial relay, express, standard, 24h, pallet...) and the price is calculated at the time of checkout.
Standard delivery is free in France from €125 and in other countries from €300 worth of orders.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, as well as payments via PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Transactions are fully secure.

We also accept payment by cheque and bank transfer; however, the order will only be prepared upon confirmation of receipt of payment by our accounts department.
