Soleilla was long part of Château l'Hospitalet. The vines were already farmed organically when, in 2018, Gérard Bertrand bought the estate and brought the prodigal child back into the fold of l'Hospitalet.

Today, with its Villa close to the Château, it strengthens the excellent wine tourism offering developed by l'Hospitalet, an ode to the well-being of the South and the Mediterranean. We stand at one of the highest points of La Clape, resolutely facing the sea and the sun. The rays of the divine star strike the white limestone of La Clape, in a clash of light with the blue of the sky. At its zenith, the adventure of Villa Soleilla flourishes, a homage to life and an opening onto the creation of an exceptional orange wine.

Orange wines, made from long macerations on the skins of white grapes, draw on a know-how born in Georgia more than 8,000 years ago. With Villa Soleilla, this method allows the full expression of their idyllic environment to be extracted from the berries: on their skins, they retain the breath of the Nature that surrounds them. The scents of the unique flowering groves (the orchid and the knapweed of La Clape), lavender, rosemary, cade and cypress indeed envelop the vines, bathed in the sea breeze and the divine celestial light. To extract their body and spirit and transcend them in the wine, Gérard Bertrand rediscovered the Georgian methods, which he adapted to the Mediterranean and to his vision, attentive to the thousand and one details that make for exceptional achievements.
