The Rivesaltes appellation inherited its name from the town of Rivesaltes, which means "High Banks" in Catalan. Crossed by 3 rivers - the Agly, the Têt and the Tech - which have shaped a relief of terraces and hills, the Rivesaltes vineyard covers extremely different soils.
The vineyard is made up of numerous small terraced plots located on the slopes of the natural geological cirque in which the village of Tautavel is located, steeped in history.
