Château de villemajou: the need for a return to essentials
In the Gérard Bertrand vineyards, the harvest of the 2021 vintage has just begun. One of the most intense periods of the year, during which the winemakers reap the fruit of a year of precise and attentive work. It is the moment we choose to take you back to the lands of the first harvests accomplished by Gérard Bertrand when he was 10 years old, with his sister, on the family estate, Château de Villemajou, before the start of the school year.
Located on the Corbières-Boutenac terroir, the Château de Villemajou vineyard is home to century-old carignan vines, a typically Mediterranean variety, offering the grapes an exceptional quality.
On this exceptional vineyard, the unique expertise of Gérard Bertrand and his teams makes it possible to craft wines that are at once generous, supple and elegant.
To prolong the pleasures of summer, we offer you a return to essentials with a selection of great wines from the finest plots of the estate.
