The fruit of an encounter between two visionary creators — Gérard Bertrand, a committed winemaker, and Hervé Di Rosa, an iconic figure of the Figuration Libre movement — this special edition of the Château l'Hospitalet AOP La Clape celebrates the deep bond between wine, art and nature.

Dressed in an original visual signed by Di Rosa, colourful, vibrant, popular and free. Like his canvases, it tells a story. That of a sun-drenched terroir, between sea and garrigue, of a vine cultivated in biodynamics, and of a philosophy of life turned towards transmission, sensoriality and joy.

This limited-edition cuvée embodies a shared quest: that of accessible art, sincere emotion, a message to be shared.

La Clape, cradle of an exceptional wine

Nestled in the heart of the natural park of the Massif de la Clape, overlooking the Mediterranean, Château l'Hospitalet embodies the rare union between terroir, nature and culture. Once a limestone island turned coastal massif, La Clape offers a spectacular environment, where the vine thrives between fragrant garrigue, sea breezes and sunlit rock.

About Di Rosa

Hervé Di Rosa, born in 1959 in Sète, is a major artist of the Figuration Libre movement, which he co-founded in 1981. His universe, inspired by comic strips, advertising and popular culture, is distinguished by its vivid colours and iconic characters such as the "Renés". An artistic explorer, he employs multiple techniques –painting, sculpture, ceramics, tapestry, animation– and creates works around the world, incorporating local expertise. A champion of "Art modeste", he founded the MIAM (Musée International des Arts Modestes) in Sète in 2000. His work, exhibited internationally, was the subject of a retrospective at the Centre Pompidou in 2024 and presented at the Mucem until 1 September 2025. In 2024, he was inducted into the Académie des Beaux-Arts in the painting section.

Hervé Di Rosa's commitment to accessible and sincere art resonates with the approach of Gérard Bertrand, pioneer of biodynamics and ambassador of the South. Both celebrate the beauty of the gesture, the richness of roots, the necessity of passing things on.
