The Bertrand family
Gérard Bertrand unveils a new cuvée in collaboration with artist Cyril Kongo
Where the art of winemaking meets the passion for art:
Following on from the first collaboration with artist Robert Combas, this year discover a new limited-edition collaboration with the renowned artist Cyril Kongo.

An artistic and philosophical exploration
Cyril Kongo's series, conceived for this collection, is intended as a deep and philosophical exploration of humanity's place between the Earth, our tangible and nurturing home, and the Cosmos, that mysterious and captivating infinity.
Using powerful visual elements, Kongo translates these questions into an immersive visual experience, inviting the viewer to reflect on the connections between the individual and the universe. Each painting encourages meditation on our identity, forged in the duality between our earthly roots and our eternal attraction to the mysteries of the cosmos.

An exceptional terroir
The Château l'Hospitalet Art Collection 2021 – Back to Kosmos is the result of a blend of old Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre vines, located on the Clape massif, a unique terroir composed of hard limestone. The plots were carefully selected within Château l'Hospitalet, notably around the letters "HOSPITALET", at the heart of the estate, to guarantee exceptional quality.
This unique and rare cuvée is available in a limited edition of only 8,000 bottles. It comes in a gift box decorated with the work of Cyril Kongo, available in different options: an individual box or a box of three bottles.

About Cyril Kongo
Cyril Phan, known by the artist name Kongo, is recognised for his vibrant and colourful style. Kongo made his name in the world of street art, where he left his mark with bold and expressive graffiti. His work has extended to other art forms, including painting, sculpture and fashion. Kongo is a visionary artist who has succeeded in fusing urban art and contemporary art, leaving an indelible mark on the global artistic landscape.
As part of the exhibition "Le Petit Prince et l'aviateur" celebrating the 80th anniversary of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's Le Petit Prince at Château l'Hospitalet in 2023, Kongo exhibited his canvases with vibrant colours and a "Nord 1000", a mythical aircraft from the 1930s repainted in street art colours. Thanks to the support of the Fondation Saint Exupéry pour la Jeunesse, which sponsors the grand prix du patrimoine of the Aéro-Club de France, and the restoration work carried out by the association pour la Renaissance du Caudron Simoun, visitors could admire this exceptional piece — a collector's aircraft transformed into a work of art — under the spray cans of the graffiti artist.
