Earth Day: a global event for the environment
Earth Day, or Earth Day as it is known in English, is a global event aimed at raising citizens' awareness of the urgency to act for the environment, but also to encourage people to take daily actions to care for the planet.
Today, let us celebrate Earth Day together. Created 51 years ago, this day has more reason than ever to exist to open minds, inspire and encourage change.
At Gérard Bertrand, the preservation of the environment is at the very heart of the company's project. We began 20 years ago to change our farming and production practices, allowing us now to produce high-quality wine from organic and biodynamic vines.
Thanks to these deep convictions, we have acquired leading expertise in the production of premium wine that respects nature. Today, we share these skills, acting as a model, with the aim of encouraging and driving forward an entire ecosystem, from winemakers to wine lovers.
AB: Orange Gold
Crafted using an ancestral winemaking method, Orange Gold is like no other. As floral and fresh as a white wine while also being tannic, this original wine delivers rich and complex flavours.
Vegan: Source of Joy
Through the myth of the Fountain of Youth it evokes, Source of Joy is an invitation to return to nature. This rosé wine, full and round on the palate, is perfectly balanced by its freshness.
Bee friendly: Or & Azur Red 2019
This wine comes from vines cultivated in perfect harmony with pollinating insects, such as bees. The Or & Azur red 2019 cuvée delivers a deep nose of dark fruits and spices with silky, fine tannins.
No Sulphites: Prima Nature Chardonnay 2020
Labelled as no added sulphites, this white wine has received the full expertise of Gérard Bertrand and his team in crafting a quality wine without resorting to the addition of sulphites. This cuvée offers a beautiful harmony, with pure and indulgent aromas that affirm the natural character of the fruit and its terroir.
Demeter: Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin Red 2018
This biodynamic wine, voted best red wine in the world for its 2017 vintage, is the result of vineyard work carried out with the deepest respect for the environment. The living, fertile soils give the grapes an extraordinary concentration of nutrients and minerals. The 2018 vintage is equally exceptional and brilliantly affirms the unique terroir of the Massif de la Clape.
