Cigalus blanc: pioneer of biodynamics at gérard bertrand
Cigalus White: Enhanced through biodynamics
At Cigalus, the gentle art of living accompanies the cultivation of the vine in harmony with nature.
Here, in the heart of the Corbières, on deep soil with an ideal composition — a blend of sandstone and sand, encouraging drainage, and clay, bringing a wealth of minerals and nutrients — the Chardonnay, Viognier and Sauvignon White vines thrive in a mild and sunny Mediterranean climate.
This singular terroir is complemented by the meticulous work of the estate's expert teams: hand harvesting, separate vinification for each grape variety, and barrel ageing all contribute to the creation of a Grand Vin with an incomparable character.
Cigalus White 2019 received a score of 91–93 points from the Robert Parker Wine Advocate guide. This two-value score reflects the wine's ageing potential and its capacity to develop magnificently over time, a characteristic inherent to great white wines of fine complexity.
Cigalus Blanc
Certified Demeter (biodynamic farming), this exceptional wine with very good ageing potential reveals a golden, luminous colour.
With a complex nose of ripe fruits, its intense freshness and natural acidity whet the appetite.
Tasting notes
The palate is silky, rounded and indulgent, with a beautiful length that prolongs the pleasure of tasting.
This pure-tasting wine is best served at 10–12°C and pairs wonderfully with seafood, cheese, or light aperitifs.
