The Global Rosé Masters competition is the biggest rosé wine competition in the world and rewards the best rosé wines in the world. Each year, hundreds of rosés are tasted blind. Le Clos du Temple by Gérard Bertrand is named the best rosé in the world and receives the title of “Master”.

The Global Rosé Masters competition is the largest rosé wine competition in the world. Its jury of experts is made up of the finest palates from around the world. With no less than 56 qualified wine critics, Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and buyers, its jury makes it a competition recognized worldwide.

The Global Rosé Master 2020 awarded the score of 96/100 to Clos du Temple tied with the Garrus cuvée from Sacha Lichine at Château d'Esclans in Provence. With this score, Clos du Temple receives the highest score in the competition and wins the title of Master.

This award is an international recognition. It rewards the precision work carried out in the vines and in the cellar as well as the commitment to biodynamics and the preservation of biodiversity. It also testifies to the richness of the terroirs of the South of France and demonstrates that Languedoc is a favorite region for producing exceptional rosé wines.

In the preserved valley of Cabrières, Clos du Temple is born in an 8-hectare vineyard located on a historic terroir, the cradle of rosé wines. From 1357, the rosé wines of Cabrières were served at the banquets of Louis XIV the Sun King where they received the designation of Royally Controlled. Gérard Bertrand has chosen to cultivate the vines there biodynamically and to use horses and mules in order to promote the connection between the mineral, the plant, the animal and the human.

Clos du Temple is an extraordinary rosé. The unique blend of 4 red grape varieties (Grenache Noir, Cinsault, Syrah, and Mourvèdre) and a white grape variety (Viognier ) gives this rosé its uniqueness. Clos du Temple is an alchemy between an exceptional terroir, unparalleled know-how and a bottle with symbolic curves.
