Tuesday May 7, 2024, Gérard Bertrand wines served at the Presidential lunch at La Mongie with President Xi Jinping and for the High Authorities lunch.
President Emmanuel Macron, President Xi Jinping and their spouses enjoyed lunch at a high-altitude restaurant in La Mongie, in the Hautes-Pyrénées. The presidential couple were served Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin Blanc 2022 and Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin Rouge 2021, produced by Gérard Bertrand.

This is the second time that Château l'Hospitalet has been served at a Franco-Chinese presidential gathering. In 2019, the presidents discovered Château l'Hospitalet wines together at the French Pavilion as part of President Emmanuel Macron's official visit to China.
The High Authorities' lunch was accompanied by three other wines from the Languedoc winemaker renowned for his expertise and commitment to viticulture in harmony with nature.
Cigalus blanc 2022, IGP Pays d'oc, Château la Sauvageonne rosé 2022, AOP Languedoc and Kosmos 888, 2020, AOP Languedoc, were served at the High Authorities' luncheon. The Art Collection Château l'Hospitalet 2020 was among the gifts presented to President Xi Jinping.

It was wonderful to have Languedoc wines tasted at this Presidential luncheon. I love Gérard BERTRAND's wines and I've been drinking them for a long time because they're the best biodynamic wines for me, with no added sulfites... It's a shame that Monsieur BERTRAND doesn't have a flagship boutique in PARIS to come and taste his great wines and buy them directly.
