Journée de la Terre

Earth Day: a global event for the environment

Earth Day, or Earth Day in English, is a global event aimed at raising awareness of the urgency of reacting for the environment, but also to encourage the population to take action on a daily basis in order to take care of the planet.

Today, let's celebrate Earth Day together. Created 51 years ago, this day is more relevant than ever to raise awareness, inspire and encourage change.

At Gérard Bertrand, preserving the environment is at the very heart of the company's project. We thus began 20 years ago to modify our cultivation and production practices, allowing us now to produce high quality wine from organic and biodynamic vines.

Thanks to these deep convictions, we have acquired a benchmark know-how in the production of premium wine that respects nature. Today, we share these skills, acting as a model, with the objective of encouraging and driving forward an entire ecosystem, from winegrowers to lovers of good wines.

AB: Orange Gold

Made from an ancestral winemaking method, Orange Gold is unlike any other. As floral and fresh as a white wine while being tannic, this original wine delivers tasty and complex flavors.

Vegan: Source of Joy

Through the myth of the Fountain of Youth that it evokes, Source of Joy is an invitation to return to nature. This rosé wine, ample and round in the mouth, is perfectly balanced by its freshness.

Bee friendly: Gold & Azur Rouge 2019

This wine comes from vines managed in perfect harmony with pollinating insects, such as bees. The 2019 Or & Azur red cuvée delivers a deep nose of black fruits and spices with silky and fine tannins.

Sulfite Free: Prima Nature Chardonnay 2020

Labellized without added sulphites, this white wine has received all the expertise of Gérard Bertrand and his team in the design of a quality wine without resorting to the addition of sulphites. This cuvée offers a beautiful harmony, pure and gourmet aromas affirming the specific character of the fruits and its terroir.

Demeter: Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin Rouge 2018

This biodynamic wine, voted best red wine in the world for its 2017 vintage, is the result of work in the vines with the utmost respect for the environment. The soils, alive and fertile, provide the grapes with an extraordinary concentration of nutrients and minerals. The 2018 vintage is just as exceptional and brilliantly affirms the unique terroir of the Clape massif.
