At the foot of the Pyrenees, the estate's vines reach heights of over 500 meters, making it one of the highest vineyards in the Haute-Vallée de l'Aude and the entire Languedoc region.
This situation accentuates the coolness of the climate, which is oceanic with a semicontinental tendency, unique to the region. Temperatures are 2 to 3°C lower than the Languedoc average, while rainfall averages 900 mm per year (compared with 600 mm in Narbonne).
Altitude also enhances the thermal amplitude between summer days and nights, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly, preserving their acidity and guaranteeing the aromatic precision of the wines. The Roquetaillade limestone cliff overlooks the estate. In the valley, the soils alternate between clayey layers, forming an ideal compromise in terms of water and nutrient retention for the vines.
The highest plots of land overlook the cliffs and their marine limestone component, which adds a salivating tactile dimension to the wines.
