The Clos du Temple Temple terroir derives its uniqueness from its geological genesis. Shaped over the last 250 million years by telluric forces, it originated during the Hercynian thrust that gave birth to the Massif Central and the Montagne Noire. The contact between two geological origins, schist and limestone, and the hilly relief is at the origin of a complex network of underground water circulation, favoring an exceptional natural water supply to the vineyard, and the emergence of a source of water of great purity. Its altitude of 240 meters combined with its South/South-West exposure contribute to the production of a perfectly balanced wine with great aromatic freshness.

Very old Cinsault, Grenache noir and Syrah are the main grape varieties of the Cabrières appellation. They are ideally suited to the well exposed, filtering, schistose soils of Clos du Temple. Viognier lends its originality and pleasant aromatic complexity to this cuvée, and Mourvèdre the final touch that makes the wine so sublime.
