Genora 2021 organic orange wine

Genora pays tribute to the first orange wines, studied and created 4,500 years ago in Georgia. Gérard Bertrand's sensational cuvée is a radiant wine. Its orange color endows the cuvée with sunny reflections during the day, comparable to golden tiles. Genora is an original organic wine dating back to the origins of the first wines, which carries its innovative character in its color.

Vinification & Ageing

Genora is made using an ancient, traditional winemaking technique. First, the white grapes are vinified and then fermented in whole bunches, like red wines. This particular fermentation, together with the fermentation of the stalks and skins, gives Genora its unique, remarkable color with golden hues and a very distinctive tannicity. Genora is made from exceptional, essentially Mediterranean grape varieties: Chardonnay and Grenache Blanc add volume, while Muscat and Roussanne complete the wine's aromatic complexity. The choice of grape varieties and controlled vinification make this an orange wine of remarkable finesse and subtlety.

Tasting Notes

The nose is complex, with an explosion of white flower, candied fruit and white pepper aromas. On the palate, the wine is fresh, with delicious aromas and just the right notes. Soft and savory, its texture absorbs the palate. Finally, Genora's long finish continues the gustatory journey, with a delicate hint of bitterness to awaken the taste buds.

Food & Wine

Génora goes perfectly with aperitifs, cheese platters and Indian and Asian cuisine. This wine should be drunk at 12°C to appreciate all its freshness and minerality. Its complexity and rich palate are best appreciated at 14°C.
