Saga of the grape varieties - Grenache Blanc

Grape variety saga - grenache blanc

Grenache Blanc originates in Spain, more specifically in the provinces of Barcelona and Tarragona. In France, it is found exclusively along the Mediterranean coast, from Perpignan to Nice, as well as in Corsica. Grenache Blanc likes gravelly, stony, warm soils.

Its bunches are rather large, and its berries are very juicy and sweet. Grenache Blanc wines are characterized by aromas of fennel and dill, melon and white nectarine.

It is also found in the cuvée Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin Blanc, Château la Sauvageonne Grand Vin Blanc and Château de Villemajou Grand Vin Blanc dry, fruity white wines with hints of wood and honey. You can taste them at the Château boutique, open daily from 9am to 7pm all year round, and until 8pm in summer.
