The magnum format: great ageing potential
Did you know that a magnum bottle preserves wine better than a classic 75 cl bottle? The reason is simple: the wine is oxygenated.
Although the container is larger for a magnum, the neck is the same size. Oxygenation of the bottle, and aging of the wine, takes place more slowly. Clearly, the larger the bottle, the longer the wine will keep.
A magnum of wine can easily be kept for a special occasion, such as a wedding, birthday or anniversary.
What's more, opening a magnum bottle is a unique moment of sharing and conviviality that's sure to stay with you forever.
Red & white cigalus
Domaine de Cigalus was one of the first vineyards in France to be farmed biodynamically.
In harmony with nature, the vines produce a complex, elegant, round red wine. The white wine is mineral, balanced and refreshing.
A magnum of Cigalus has great ageing potential (20 years) and can be reserved for a special occasion.
Aigle Royal
From a high-altitude vineyard (500 meters) certified organic and biodynamic, "Aigle Royal" red and white wines deliver fruity aromas and delicate tannins.
In magnum, this wine will keep for the next two decades, waiting for the perfect occasion.
Forge, Viala & Hospitalitas
These wines come from parcels of vines that have been isolated from the rest of their vineyard, because they possess exceptional characteristics, whether in terms of geology, exposure to the sun, hygrometry, or other factors.
The result of this selection is a top-of-the-range terroir wine with an assertive character.
What's more, these three magnums are from the 2012 vintage, an exceptional year for great Languedoc wines.
Sales of this exceptional wine are limited to 50 bottles only.
