Dark ripe cherry color

Nose

The nose reveals fragrances of wild strawberries, liquorice and cloves.

Blocked

The attack reveals a total balance between fruits and spices. A touch of salinity prolongs the acidity in the mouth and suggests immense aging potential. Total coherence and richness on the finish, where all the aromatic nuances of cherries stand out (fruit, tart, jam, stone) on a horizon of cocoa, toasted almonds and gingerbread.

La Forge was Georges Bertrand's favorite plot, home to century-old Carignan and old Syrah vines. From his first harvest, crunching the grapes, walking the rows with his father, Gérard Bertrand had felt the quality of skin and tannins that the age of the vines gives to the grapes that come from them. Alongside his father, he learned the quest for excellence in attention to a thousand and one details. “If you want to draw a straight furrow, hook your plow to a star” (Guy de la Rigaudie).
