Less known than the famous vineyards of the south of France which are the AOC Pic Saint Loup wines and the AOC wines Corbières, the wine of Fitou is nevertheless the oldest AOC appellation in Languedoc-Roussillon.
Neighboring the Corbières massif while being closer to the Mediterranean Sea, the Fitou vineyard is subject to the typical wind of the region, the Tramontane.
This cold, dry and powerful wind helps to “cleanse” the sky of these clouds, and thus provides the vines with ideal sunshine.
As part of the Heritage range of iconic wines from the Occitanie region, the An 990 Fitou cuvée is carefully produced to reveal all the characteristics of its terroir. Year 990 Fitou refers to the date of the first written record of Fitou's domain. View all the Languedoc-Roussillon wines from the Heritage range.
