Villemajou, where all began

Each Friday will be told the story of one of Gérard Bertrand’s estates

First stop in the Corbières Boutenac Appellation where all began: Château de Villemajou

In 1974, at the age of 10, Gérard Bertrand begins his initiation to winegrowing with his father and in 1988, at the age of 24, reveals his first vintage after his father’s death. Under the appellation Corbières Boutenac since 2005, Château de Villemajou continues to baffle the wine world thanks to a terroir composed of « rolling stones » and old bush vines of Carignan which makes this estate the flagship of its appellation.
