Texas at the Jazz à l'Hospitalet festival

Texas is a British pop band founded in 1985 in Glasgow, Scotland. It started on stage in March 1988 at the University of Dundee in Scotland. In tribute to the Wim Wenders film Paris, Texas, the group is named Texas.

The group made its name in 1989 with the single I Do not Want a Lover, from their debut album Southside. The latter has sold two million copies worldwide.

Their music went from blues rock on their first Southside album via White on Blonde's Black Eyed Boy to Red Book's disco pop.
