Saga of Grape Varieties: White Grenache

White Grenache is native of Spain and more exactly of provinces of Barcelona and of Tarragona. It is found in France exclusively on the edges of the Mediterranean Coast, from Perpignan to Nice, as well as in Corsica. Grenache Blanc likes rocky and hot grounds.

His clusters are rather big and his bays are very sweet and juicy. Wines stemming from Grenache Blanc are essentially characterized by aromas of fennel and dill, and melon, or white nectarine.

This vine is a part of the grape planting of Château l’Hospitalet. We find it in particular in the vintage Château l’Hospitalet Art de vivre Blanc, a very fruity dry white wine, with woody and honeyed notes. You can come to taste it at the shop at l’Hospitalet open every day from 9 am till 8 pm this summer.
