The Vermentino is very wide-spread vine in Italy, in Sardinia and in Corsica. More globally, it is present in the regions which line the Mediterranean Sea, as Provence, Languedoc and in the Rhône. These regions gather the ideal conditions for this vine, hot and dry grounds and a sunny climate.
It gives powerful and deep white wines, beautiful aromatic intensity and smooth in mouth. It reveals aromas of fresh apple, green almond, soft spices, hawthorn, ripe pear and pineapple there.
Vermentino is a part of the grape planting of the Château la Sauvageonne, it is found in particular in the Château la Sauvageonne Grand Vin white, where it is blended with Viognier, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne.
