Son of a winemaker and former international rugby player, Gérard Bertrand has made his name one of the most dynamic brands in the French wine scene. From the family estate Château de Villemajou, this child of the Corbières now runs eleven estates in the best terroirs of Languedoc and Roussillon and produces several ranges of wines bearing his signature in brand new wine cellars in Narbonne. If he claims to make wines of the South an "art of living", Gérard Bertrand is above all a meticulous and demanding winegrower, and the work done in the fields aims to reveal the individual expression of each appellation. This poursuit finds its quintessence with the Clos d'Ora, magnificent wine on the heights of the Livinière, which imposes itself as one of the greatest wines of the South of France. All the wines of the estates (covering most of the great terroirs of the South of France) are remarkable, both in classical cuvée and in the single vineyards (La Forge, Hospitalitas, aigle royal, etc ...). We must also appreciate the shining La Villa rosé. In short, a producer at his best.
