Norah Jones is an American singer, musician and actress born on March 30, 1979 in New York. She changed her name at the age of 16 (her real name is Geetali Norah Jones-Shankar). In 2002, Norah Jones was revealed to the public with the release of her first album "Come Away with Me". This album is a real success with more than 20 million copies. The album "Come Away With Me" allows Norah Jones to get 5 Grammy Awards. In 2004, Norah Jones released her second album entitled "Feels Like Home". In 2007, the singer released her third album, "Not Too Late", followed in 2009 by her fourth album "The Fall". Norah Jones has already sold more than 39 million albums worldwide. In 2007, Norah Jones began her career as a filmmaker and starred in the movie "My Blueberry Nights". On October 19, 2011, alongside Coldplay, she takes part in the tribute ceremony for Steve Jobs, which took place in Cupertino, at the headquarters of Apple Inc. In 2012, Norah Jones released her fifth album "Little Broken Hearts".

Four years after this, Norah Jones returns to her roots, jazz and piano, on her new album “Day Breaks” that she will perform at our festival Jazz at the Hospitalet. The singer has chosen to surround herself with some of the big names of jazz, with saxophonist Wayne Shorter, organist Lonnie Smith or drummer Brian Blade.
