Acquired in 1997, Château Laville Bertrou is located in Languedoc regionon thevery qualitative Appellation Minervois La Livinière recognized as a Cru in 1999. This Château is surrounded by a typical Mediterranean landscape: thyme, rosemary, pine are the main vegetation in the area. “La Livinière is the Kingdom of syrah, because the fresh nights deliver a fruity yet spicy punch. After sparingly blending with Grenache and mourvèdre and-in hot years only-carignan, you are rewarded with wines that are both powerful and classical, with an innate sense of character” explains Gérard Bertrand in his book “Wine, Moon and Stars”.
