« We have learnt to commune with the Earth at Cigalus, and it nourishes us in return » (Gérard Bertrand, Wine, Moon And Stars).
Welcome to the village of Bizanet, at the heart of the Narbonne region, at Domaine de Cigalus. Acquired by Gérard Bertrand in 1995, it soon takes a special place in his life: not only is it the Bertrand family home since 1996, it is also the cradle of biodynamics, a form of agriculture which requires the soil to be treated using only mineral, vegetal and animal matter, applied following the cosmic rhythm.
The aridity of the Mediterranean climate allows for an advanced maturation of the noble varietals. The old Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Caladoc in red, and Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Viognier in white, manually harvested, make for great quality wines, original and still keeping the Mediterranean authenticity. A unique estate, expression of a will to create a separate world within viticulture. More about Domaine de Cigalus here!
