La Clape, long renowned terroir for its quality wines before it was recognised as Cru in 2015, shelters a hotspot for Art de Vivre. Château l’Hospitalet is a genuine oenotouristic complex, with its 3-star hotel, its restaurant Art de vivre where Chef Chabert suggests exquisite dishes paired with Gérard Bertrand wines, and its beautiful wine cellars. The landscape, with its Mediterranean climate, is the visible side of an intricate terroir, where two very different soils meet: shale soils rich in mineral elements and very poor and dry limestone soils where are biodynamically cultivated syrah, carignan, grenache, and mourvèdre in red and viognier, vermentino, bourboulenc, white grenache and roussane for the whites. The great wines which are blended in the Château’s cellars are regularly awarded and selected by the most prestigious guides.
