The Château de la Soujeole, located in the Malepère appellation, is located near the famous medieval city of Carcassonne. Malepère region where the influences of the South-West (Oceanic climate) meet the Mediterranean climate. The estate is committed to biodynamics.
The Château de la Soujeole Grand Vin Red is a selection of the best plots of the estate. It is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec grapes. The wine is aged in French oak barrels during 12 months to bring more complexity and roundness. You can smell notes of blackcurrant with a wisp of chocolate and smoke. On palate, you will find well integrate barrel notes.
The Château de la Soujeole Grand Vin Red pairs very well with the traditional dish of Carcassonne: the cassoulet. With this typical dish, the perfect pairing is a powerful wine with strong tannins.
