Domaine de l’Aigle is a unique terroir in Languedoc. Near Limoux, about 500 meters of altitude, it benefits from a cool and humid climate, comparable to the type we would find in Burgundy. These exceptional conditions in Languedoc allow for the culture of grape varieties which do not originate from the region, chardonnay, gewürtzraminer and especially pinot noir. The latter is the one which makes Domaine de l’Aigle so special, besides the birds of prey majestically flying by the estate, which gave it its name.
