Beneficial insects of the vine

In Gérard Bertrand’s estates, we favor the development of auxiliaries. By developing stone walls and leaving hedges to develop naturally, we promote the life of insects beneficial to the struggle of vine pests. The main auxiliaries are ladybirds, chrysopes and spiders, which constantly struggle against aphids, leafhoppers, drosophila, and butterflies (eudemis, Cochylis). The importance of developing shrubs, hedges, plants and low walls will also allow to limit the drift of plant protection preparations and thus to preserve the health of the protective insects of our vines.
