Since March, we welcomed Nicolas Fittere, animal traction ploughman at Chateau de la Soujeole. For Nicolas, working the soil with respect and with as little impact as possible from man and his equipment, is essential. To do so, he works with our equidae friends, which avoid the soil compaction. Nicolas is passionate about horses for more than thirty years, he practices the pony trekking and animal traction activities.
Thus Casimir joined him, a young mule of 6 years, native to Marais Poitevin. Casimir is ready to show his ability on the Château’s vineyard and get as experimented as his companions, Vanina and Victorious.
This new team will participate in a cleaner and more environment-friendly tillage to guarantee the highest possible organic activity for the plots.
